Prescription for Horse - Bottle

Each food-grade 70ml Aluminium bottle with serum pump lid contains 180 doses (2 pumps per dose). You can also buy in 1 litre, 2 litre and 5 litre jerry cans to dose the whole herd via the trough or on feed by selecting the JERRY CANS 1, 2 AND 5 LITRE menu here or on the home page.  Each litre provides 3 months treatment based on a standard regime.

The standard regime for 1, 2 and 5 litre Jerry Cans is below but your prescription regime may differ from this:

Dosage - 1, 2 or 5 litre Jerry Cans
Tip 1 capful (or 1 pump) into the water trough each day for the first 4 days as a loading dose. Then repeat twice weekly to maintain. OR tip 1/2 capful (or 1/2 pump) on to feed daily.

Specific Dosing Advice

Thrush: Mud and Rain product is not effective against thrush in horses but we do have a thrush formulation available as a prescription.  The dosage regime for the thrush remedy is 3 times a day for 7 days, orally. Allergy: Mud and Rain will definitely help with itchy scabby sores but if you know what the allergy is, we may be able to provide a remedy to desensitise your horse to it and prevent the scabs forming. Ulcers: The Ulcer Protection remedy is given orally, once daily but during times of extra stress we recommend increasing to twice daily. If you have a horse with an active ulcer then you would use the Acute Ulcer remedy up to 3 times a day for a week before reducing to twice daily for a further 3 weeks.
